FOLLOWING the declaration of an Enlarged Stakeholders, the Clergy, Women and Leaders from all the political parties of Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia state last Wednesday, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Chibunna Akara has proactively approved the appointment of the following individuals to serve on the committees as specified below:

- Chief Okechi Nwaohu – Member
- Mr. Azuwuike Nwankwo – Member
- Chief Eze Nwauka – Member
- Mr. Acho Johnson – Member
- Chief Mejuru Godwin – Member
- Chief Okere Eruba – Member
- Hon. Chisom Chidi – Member
COMMITTEE ON ELECTRICITY MATTERS
- HRH Eze Ikeagwuchi Ekeke – Chairman
- Pst Iheanyi Adindu – Secretary

- Mr. Sunday A Nwankwo – Member

The committees shall:
- Meet regularly to discuss and deliberate on matters within their purview
- Make recommendations to the Executive Chairman on policy and implementation
- Carry out such other functions as may be assigned by the Executive Chairman
This appointment takes effect immediately and shall remain in force until further notice.
The Chairman congratulated all the appointees on their new roles and look forward to their active participation and contributions to the development of Ukwa East Local Government.
