UKWA EAST LGA CHAIRMAN, HON. CHIBUNNA AKARA APPOINTS MEMBERS OF DIFFERENT COMMITTEES

FOLLOWING last week’s resolutions by the enlarged Stakeholders, Clergy, Women and Leaders of Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia state, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Chibunna Akara has proactively approved the appointment of the following individuals to serve on different committees .

A Statement made available to our correspondent and personally signed by the council Chairman states that the committees include the following,

COMMITTEE ON BOUNDARY MATTERS

  1. Barr. Okey Nnah – Chairman
  2. Hon. Uche Aja – Secretary
  3. Chief Okechi Nwaohu – Member
  4. Mr. Azuwuike Nwankwo – Member
  5. Chief Eze Nwauka – Member
  6. Mr. Acho Johnson – Member
  7. Chief Mejuru Godwin – Member
  8. Chief Okere Eruba – Member
  9. Hon. Chisom Chidi – Member

COMMITTEE ON ELECTRICITY MATTERS

  1. HRH Eze Ikeagwuchi Ekeke – Chairman
  2. Pst Iheanyi Adindu – Secretary
  3. Chief S.P Ogbonna – Member
  4. Chief G.I Akara – Member
  5. Mr. Sunday A Nwankwo – Member
  6. Chief Reginald Ezenta – Member
  7. Hon. Obioma Nwulu – Member

STUDENT BURSARY COMMITTEE

  1. Hon. Mrs Mary Brown – Chairman
  2. Hon. Samuel Okere – Secretary
  3. Comrade Justice Enyinnaya Nwaubani – Member
  4. Mr. Chinedu Udi – Member
  5. Mr. Victor Okwuonu – Member
  6. Goodluck Nnah – Member
  7. Amarachi Ogwo – Member
  8. Divine Sunday – Member

The Statement stated that the committees shall:

  • Meet regularly to discuss and deliberate on matters within their purview
  • Make recommendations to the Executive Chairman on policy and implementation
  • Carry out such other functions as may be assigned by the Executive Chairman

This appointment takes effect immediately and shall remain in force until further notice.

The Council Boss congratulated all the appointees on their new roles and look forward to their active participation and contributions to the development of Ukwa East Local Government.
