Nnaji Blasts Gov Mbah Over Alleged Plans To Dump PDP For APC

Former National Auditor and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee, Chief Ray Nnaji, has cautioned Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, against his alleged plan to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as “political suicide.”

Our correspondent  learnt that Governor Mbah has allegedly been funding some disgruntled APC members who have consistently urged him to join the ruling party.

Sources further revealed that he has already informed Enugu lawmakers of his impending move.

Nnaji, however, warned that the governor would face stiff resistance in the APC.

He said, “It would be political suicide for Governor Peter Mbah to defect to APC. He is a pretender because he is in PDP, but his soul is in APC. Even if he carries some people to APC, most of them will sabotage him when the chips are down.”

The PDP chieftain also questioned Mbah’s political strength, arguing that he lacks grassroots support and has failed to manage the PDP effectively.

He criticized the governor’s reliance on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements for most projects, describing it as mortgaging the state’s future.

Nnaji added that the governor would face entrenched party structures in the APC, warning that “someone already on the ground” would make his defection a tough battle
