Three ABSU Medical Students Feared Dead In An Auto Crash

Three Abia State University Uturu Medicine and Surgery students on Thursday were involved in an accident while returning to Aba from the school’s induction of medical students.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Commander, Fredrick Ogiden has confirmed the incident, stating that his men were at the accident scene shortly after the incident involving an ash-coloured private Toyota Camry.
Reports have it that this happened at late hours of the day at the Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Umuahia Expressway as six of them who are mostly medical students went to Uturu to celebrate with their senior colleagues on their induction.
As of the time of filing this report, “3 students have been confirmed dead, while 2 are extremely injured and are fighting for their lives right now in the hospital and one miraculously survived”.
The driver was said to be cruising at a speed and lost control and the car somersaulted three times, hitting a palm tree.
All possible efforts to get reactions of the Abia Police authorities for confirmation proved abortive.
