Anambra Federal Lawmaker Hon. Peter Anekwe Supports Farmers with Fertilizers and Tools for Dry Season Farming

Oroma-Etiti- The Federal House of Representatives Member for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Udeogalanya Anekwe (Macpee), on Tuesday 31st December, 2024 at Oroma-Etiti in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State, distributed over Three thousand bags of 10kg Rice, Farming Tools for Dry Season farming and Nine Hundred bags of Fertilizers to boast Agriculture and food security in the Federal Constituency to 25 Political wards of the Federal Constituency.
Hon. Peter Anekwe (Macpee), popularly known as Mmilinaliugwu, while handing over the items to a selected committees from the 25 Political wards of the Federal Constituency explained that Christmas is a season of love and sharing, so there is a need for the distribution of the Christmas palliative to members of his Constituency at the grassroots to enable them to have something to celebrate Christmas with and to prepare for the year ahead.
According to Hon. Udeogalanya Anekwe, “I Am aware of the economy situation in Nigeria and President Tinubu is doing everything possible to reduce the inflation rate.”
The Federal Lawmaker explained that the items would be distributed to the constituents devoid of political or tribal inclination. “I’m doing all of these because I love my people and I want them to be happy.
On Farming tools, Hon Peter Anekwe said that “Our People are farmers. We are into dry farming season. These items will go a long way to boast food security in our area.
“What we have given may not be enough, so I call on those who will not get today to be patient, there will always be a next time. We will continue to do our best to improve the lives of our people.”
In the same spirit of Christmas, the Honourable Member hosted Excellent Ladies in the Federal Constituency. Hon. Peter Anekwe reaffirmed his commitment to empowering women in the Federal Constituency.
Rep Peter Anekwe expressed his gratitude to the entire women in Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, especially those of the Excellent Ladies for Macpee for their unwavering support, acknowledging the significant legislative strides his tenure as a Lawmaker has made in promoting women and youth inclusive governance.
The Excellent Ladies for Macpee, a non- political group comprises of women across the Anambra East and West Federal Constituency. The event, which has become a tradition during every Christmas, featured the installation of the Excellent fathers of the Excellent Ladies for Macpee and so many other activities.
Highlights of the event were sharing of the bags of Rice, Farming tools for Dry Season and Fertilizers. These items were handed over to selected committees from the 25 Political Wards in Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.
Present at the Presentation were Labour Party Chairmen from Anambra East and West Local Government Areas, Some Stakeholders from the two Local Government Areas, Opinion Leaders and Labour Party faithful.
