Two Arrested Over Alleged Murder Of Female Security Guard In Ebonyi

Two suspects have been arrested by security agencies over the attack and murder of a female security Guard, Mrs. Onwe Onana at the Ngboejeogu Central Security at Ngbo Court in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State.
Topnewsngr recalls that some hoodlums attacked the security outfit and killed Mrs. Onana while other Guards sustained injuries.
Confirming the arrest of the attackers, the Special Assistant to the Ebonyi state Governor on Internal security, Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Mr. Ogbonna Tobias said that security personnels swung into action immediately the attack was carried out and I can tell you that two persons are already with us.
He condemned the invasion/attack on the local security outfit. “we are not happy about that incident. I don’t know the reason why the gunmen should attack the security men.
“That attack resulted to the killings of a female security personnel and others sustained bullet injuries. The gunmen also chartered away Motorcycle belonging to the outfit. As you can see, we are on ground and sniffing, making sure that insecurity comes to an end in Ohaukwu LGA.
“We have arrested some suspects and investigation is ongoing, and our promise to our people is that, they should be calm, we are going to see to the end of insecurity in the local government.
“There have been peace and our people have been sleeping with their two eyes close. And we are very sad about that killings.
He applauded the efforts of the State Governor in ensuring that there is peace and order in the various communities of the state.
He advocated for enactment of a law by the state House of Assembly, to empower vigilantes and other local security officers to operate with small guns, in order to challenge the gunmen each time they invade their outfits.
“We urge the government to back our local vigilantes. You see, since the disbandment of Ebube-agu, our local security men, no longer use arms. And you know, these bad boys do come with sophisticated weapons.
“If the state House of Assembly can come up with a law, a situation where the local vigilantes should be empowered to use at least pump action guns, it will go along way to enable them challenge the hoodlums.
They find it difficult to challenge them because they don’t bear arms, that’s why each time they attack, we record casualties on the part of our local vigilantes.
