Navy alert candidates to fake NNBTS supplementary list

The Nigerian Navy has issued a warning about a fake supplementary list of candidates for the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 35.

The fake list, according to the Navy, was circulated on WhatsApp groups between Friday, November 17 and Monday, November 20, 2023.

The Navy, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the list did not originate from them and that it is the work of “mischievous and unscrupulous elements” trying to mislead the public.

It also stated that NNBTS Batch 35 has already resumed training and that the fake list is completely false.

“For the avoidance of doubt, NNBTS Batch 35 has since resumed training and the fake supplementary list of names DID NOT originate from the Nigerian Navy,” the commission stated

The Nigeria Navy, however, urged the public to ignore the fake list and warned fraudsters and mischief makers to desist from these “foolish acts.”
